You might know Whitney from her lovely blog Darling Dexter, but she and her husband Dustin are also the creative force behind Oh, Darling! Photograpy. If that weren't enough, Whitney is also a graphic designer and just started her own fashion line! They are clearly such a creative and talented couple, and that certainly shines through in their beautiful North Carolina wedding.
Besides designing the invitations, Whitney is also responsible for creating the programs, napkins and departure flags. But the most impressive project by far is Whitney's wedding dress! She fell in love with a jcrew dress that was discontinued, so she and her Mom created something that was similar and perfect for her in every way (not only that, but they also made the bridesmaids dresses!) Simple, don't let the details become more than the purpose of the day. It's definitely an exciting time and an opportunity to decorate and design to your hearts desire -- but as a photographer I see the whole day from start to finish and at the end of it all, the most important thing is the commitment you are making and sharing that love with your closet family and friends. It all goes by so fast (witnessed by my own wedding) so be sure to relax and simply enjoy every minute of it!
