Real Wedding: Chicago, Illinois
Jessica and Alex's wedding is a great example of how plans can change but your wedding day will still turn out to be beautiful. The couple was originally scheduled to be married in Mexico this summer but brought their wedding back home due to the swine flu outbreak. A pretty serious change of plans with a great outcome! They were married at the Chicago Illuminating Company, which is a beautiful venue if you're in the area. The talented Amy of Blumen provided the gorgeous flowers and helped design the event (in fact the close up of the bouquet and the venue shot directly after were taken by Amy) and William Rice of Andrew Collings Photography captured the day. Thanks to both Amy and Andrew for providing all the details for the post!

Quick Palette: Blues and Greens

This gorgeous photo translates into a beautiful palette of greens and blues! Have any of you used these colors in your own weddings? If so, I would love to see what you've come up with. {Photo via A Creative Mint - have you been to that site? Because you should stop what you're doing and go there right this minute}

Calligraphy Alternative

As much as I love calligraphy, its completely understandable that not everyone can fit it into their budgets. Since your return address is something you'll be writing over and over again during the course of the wedding (invitations, thank you notes, RSVP cards) why not opt for an adorable custom calligraphy stamp? Lettergirl offers all of these cute alternatives, and even return address stickers. We purchased a stamp for our Save the Dates, and I can tell you that I am still using it a year after the wedding!
If you are going to change your last name after the wedding, consider using just your first names or even a monogram (that's what we used) and your address underneath. Either way, Lettergirl has some seriously cute options.

Claudia Griffiths
Claudia Griffiths is hair accessory designer in Las Vegas, and she has just launched a new bridal line! I am always pretty sure that I am not fashionable enough to pull off most hair accessories, but I think that even I could have worn some of these. The flower band on the top left is my favorite - isn't it adorable? You can check out the whole bridal collection right here.

Unique Cake Stands

These adorable cake stands from Iacoli & McAllister are made from vintage candlestick holders of all shapes and sizes, and powder coated into a variety of vibrant colors. Of course I love the green ones, but any of these would add a great punch of color to your desserts! Since each piece is unique their inventory is always changing but check out their shop for the latest items. I always think its so great when an old item can be made into something new! {Found via The Inspired Bride}
