{Real Wedding} : Angelica + Che by Kristen Swanson

This is one of those blissful El Paso weddings that I could stare at for hours upon end. It’s traditional and yet totally fresh. It’s timeless and yet infused with Moroccan and peacock touches. It’s pretty, it’s colorful, it’s just perfect. And it proves that ballroom weddings are utterly gorgeous. Photographed by Kristen Swanson (who I heart) at the Double Tree Hotel and a design by the fab Angelica Razo (the Bride), this is one of those weddings that I’m sure will quickly jump to the top of your favorite list.
And when you are done with the wedding gorgeousness, stop by Angelica and Che’s 1940’s inspired engagement session for more eye-candy.

{Real Weddings} : Georgina + Arturo by Nacho Guerrero

So, I couldn’t find a better way to start this Wedding Wednesday than showing you my cousins’ amazing black tie wedding in Chihuahua, Mex. This is an event very close to my heart! You see, I should be telling you that I was a guest at this wedding, but reality is I couldn’t attend because we had to reschedule The last Wedding Show for the same weekend… booo! Anyhow, this classic affair may just be the chices wedding ever and you are about to catch a glimpse of it.
Before you see all the details of the day captured by the Nacho Guerrero (who was also my wedding photographer six years ago) let me tell you a little about this two. The groom is almost like my brother. We were born almost the same day (10 hours apart), we grew up together, we were neighbors, we went to the same schools, we had birthday parties together… so he probably grasped some wedding stylist vibes from me, right? On the other hand, the bride is a beautiful smart young lady that also happens to own a very chic bridal boutique and her sense of style is impeccable. Therefore, you can just imagine how graceful and sophisticated this wedding was. From the dress, the headpiece, the shoes, the church ceremony all the way to the tented reception, this Mexican fête was nothing but pure gorgeousness.
This is how we throw a wedding in my family, enjoy!

Top It Up Pretty: Boleros - Part 2

A super easy way to accomplish that Kate Middleton look is wearing a bolero. Like I mention on the first part of Top it Up Pretty, boleros give you the ability to transform your wedding dress from conservative to sexy, without making the expense of buying two gowns.
Here is the second part of these Rosa Clara beauties. Enjoy!

Top It Up Pretty: Boleros - Part 1

Hello Monday! So unless you’ve been living under a rock these past weekend you probably hear all the talking about Kate’s Alexander McQueen gown. And if you read this blog often you may know that las week I predicted that for years to come many many brides are going to inspire their wedding attired on Kate’s look (check out my post about royal wedding inspired dresses). But, if the long sleeve is too much for you, what about wearing a bolero. Shrugs, boleros, tops and wraps give you the ability to transform your wedding dress from conservative to sexy, without making the expense of buying two gowns.
I’m in love with single one of these tops from Rosa Clara. They will give any wedding dress a touch of elegance and sophistication. Lace, chiffon, biding… they are all beyond adorable!.. So, what do you think? Would you top it up pretty?

{Fabulous Friday} : Royal Wedding Cake

The Royal Wedding CakeThe wedding Royal Wedding cake, designed by Fiona Cairns, was a multi-tiered traditional fruit cake. The cake, which was decorated with cream and white icing, had a strong British floral theme using elements of the Joseph Lambeth technique.

Have a Fabulous Weekend!
See you on Monday with more wedding galore!
