For years and years, it seems like the perfectly round nosegay was the only bouquet brides carried. Nowadays, brides-to-be are looking for bouquets that have movement and looser forms. The posy bouquet trend has finally been broken. Girls all across the nation are seeking for texture and "Green" in their wedding bouquets. (Image Source)
Vintage inspired bouquets have been a top wedding trend this year. This dovetails nicely with the larger overall love of vintage inspired wedding themes and details. Vintage bouquets are gently flowing, with a combination of lovely colors. Peach, lavender, rose, and cream are some of the most popular colors for vintage style bouquets. (photo 1, photo 2, photo 3)
Furthermore, rustic and natural elements have become the trendiest additions for bouquets. Burlap fabric wrapping is very popular. But, for the more glamorous bride, exotic peacock feathers are a great choice. (photo 1, photo 2)
A gentle cascade bouquet is one of the most popular top new shapes for 2011. These cascade bouquets are sometimes referred to as waterfall bouquets, because of the way the flowers flow down. This newest design is all about a natural flow; push aside images of the overly stiff and artificial looking cascade bouquets of the 1980s.
I love this cascade bouquet inspired in an English garden, exactly the theme we had for the cake design and tablescape competition at The Wedding Show: The Summer Bridal Extravaganza 2011.
What do you think? Are you ready for this trend? If so, here is more inspiration for you
