Etsy Weekend Deals

The Etsy blog (The Storque) writes about various sales and discounts across the site towards the end of each week, and this week there are a lot of great finds to take advantage of. I am loving the white flower necklace from LittleWhiteDresser, and those lotus blossoms from FancifulForm could make some interesting table decorations. Wall Stickz is offering 20% off all of their vinyl decals, including monograms (perfect for receptions). I hope you all have a lovely weekend!

Sponsor Spotlight: Watters

I am really happy to welcome a new sponsor to the blog - Watters! They have such beautiful dresses in price ranges that can fit about any budget. The designs you see here are from their Fall 2009 collection, all of which I think are amazing in their own way. You can go to their site to see more from the collection, where you'll also find categories for dresses under $1,000 and their quick delivery options. Welcome, Watters!

Nonsuch

It's quite possible these are the cutest coin purses I've ever laid eyes on. They would make lovely bridesmaids gifts, or possibly even a little something for your flower girl (maybe filled with some of her favorite trinkets). Many more adorable styles available at nonsuch.

Antique Book Centerpieces

These could make some adorable centerpieces - what do you think? It might be a little painful to slice up old books, but if you found some that were damaged on the inside it would be a lovely way to repurpose them. Would you use something like this at your own wedding? {From here, found via SeeSaw Designs}

Inspired by Nature

When the ladies from Utterly Engaged originally asked me to participate in their latest issue, we had the idea to base the projects off an inspiration board much like my DIY Series using boards from Snippet & Ink (the picnic projects are coming soon, by the way). The board didn't wind up fitting into the article so I decided to show it here instead! The sources for all the lovely pictures are below...

Row 2: Cabin Photo by Erin Hearts Court; Boutonnière Photo by Benjamin Dell
Row 3: Bouquet Photo by James Christianson; Invitations by Linda & Harriett; Boutonnière Photo by James Christianson

Cute Shoes...

I love this shot from Stone Blue - the roses on the shoes look just like the flowers in the bouquet. Hope you all have a lovely weekend!

Convo Pebbles

This is such a cute idea and a great way to break the ice at bridal showers without playing any overly embarrassing games. You can customize the convo pebbles to your event and color scheme, and through July they ship for free.

The idea is that you scatter them on a table and guests pick them up and are supposed to and answer the questions to start conversations. Or for a shower, you can have the bride answer the questions on each of the stones. Cute, right?

Leigh & Dave's Engagement Session

Yesterday I posted one of my new favorite weddings, and this is definitely one of my new favorite engagement sessions! Leigh and Dave bonded over a shared love of Volkswagens when they met (they both drove one at the time) so Leigh arranged to have a VW bus at their engagement session. She and Dave live in Baltimore and rented the bus in California, where their shoot was to take place, so Leigh had to deal with a lot of scheduling and logistics to get everything set up. But I am sure you'll agree that it was well worth it! You can see more pictures on Leigh Miller's blog. Thanks to both Leighs' for sharing these lovely pictures!

Real Wedding - Asheville, NC

I received such a sweet email from Wendy last week, explaining that she was inspired by our ring bearer pillow and used the fabric throughout her own wedding. So when she sent over the pictures of her wedding, I could hardly wait to share them with you!

Wendy and Stephen are such a beautiful couple, and their attention to detail is inspiring. The couple was married at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC which is an amazing place in itself. Wendy incorporated the green damask fabric in the aisle runner, monogrammed pillows, table runners and even the cake! I've listed some of the couple's vendors below and will stop typing now so you can enjoy this lovely wedding. Thank you for sharing, Wendy and Stephen, and congratulations!
